Playback drive is a striped RAID Samsung SSD with tons of free space. System is nowhere near maxing out during playback. "Increase RAM buffer" is checked in PLAY-Overload protection is off, voices are set to 2048. Audio priority is set to boost, with 6 seconds of disk preload, and the highest possible latency for the audio driver-to accommodate playback. I have multi-processing and ASIO guard activate currently (ASIO guard level is set to 'high'). This is highly unfortunate because I otherwise love working with the sounds. It is a machine of doom, and right now PLAY seems to be the weakest link.
#NO SOUND ON PLAYBACK FROM EAST WEST HOLLYWOOD STRINGS PLAY PRO#
My Mac Pro has 96GB of RAM, and is a 12-core machine with 3.46 GHz processors. I usually have to run a decrackler plug-in on the tracks to get the quality up to snuff. On a separate note, I have noticed a lot of crackles in the basses divisi patches. It could be a clarinet legato phrase of 16th notes, or a staccato marimba arpeggio, or string staccato patch, for that happens with all of the PLAY libraries. If I have a project with, let's say, 35 GB of total samples loaded (between many instances of Play and Kontakt)-I notice that the playback of PLAY sample libraries, particularly of fast notes-gets delayed, and notes start running together (playing out of time, blurting out)-and I am often getting stuck notes. I was hoping my issue would be gone, but it is still occurring.

I was running OS 10.7.5 with Nuendo 5.5 for the least few years-and recently upgraded to Mavericks 10.9.5 with Nuendo 7 and the latest versions of PLAY. I own the entire Hollywood series and have been having some playback issues.
